Orrin Davis, MD
Orrin Davis, MD, is a board-certified otolaryngologist – or specialist in disorders of the ear, nose, and throat – who practices in Glen Rock, NJ.
Dr. Davis earned his bachelor’s degree and medical degree from Northwestern University. He completed his general surgery internship and residencies in general surgery and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Northwestern University Medical Center and Evanston Hospital before completing a Fellowship in head and neck oncologic, reconstructive and plastic surgery sponsored by the Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, IN. Following his training, Dr. Davis taught advanced neck surgical skills to the Harvard surgical trainees at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and other Harvard Hospitals in Massachusetts.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Davis also is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the New Jersey Medical Society, the Bergen County Medical Society, and the New York Head and Neck Cancer Society. He has published several research articles in the peer-reviewed medical literature, and co-authored a chapter on laser surgery in an otolaryngology textbook.
Dr. Davis limits his practice to advanced neck and throat surgery. He has performed more than 3,000 thyroid surgeries and more than 1,000 parathyroid surgeries. He is one of the few physicians in the world to be trained to use the surgical robot to perform trans-axillary thyroid surgery. He performs surgeries for lumps in the neck and the throat.
