Compassionate Care Close to Home

Facing cancer requires a lot from patients and their families, and Sovereign Health Cancer Care offers a lot to assist them. Its technology provides state-of-the-art treatment and its physicians are experts in their field. And all of our professionals employ “high-touch” as well as “high-tech” care, remembering that they are treating a patient, not a tumor, and that respect, empathy and compassion affirm a person’s dignity and can actually help in the battle against illness.

Speed When it Counts; Time When it Matters

When you need radiation therapy, you want the initial consultation with the radiation oncologist to take place as quickly as possible. At Sovereign Health Cancer Care, that first meeting often occurs the same day you’re referred by your doctor. When that’s not feasible because of a late-day referral, the your schedule or other circumstances, the meeting typically takes place the next business day.

While Sovereign Health Cancer Care’s radiation oncologists recognize the “need for speed” when it comes to meeting with our patients and starting the treatment planning process, they also know from long experience that it is critical to “go slow” at the initial consultation- and at all visits- because patients and your loved ones often are overwhelmed and anxious. By providing comprehensive counseling, reinforcing key points, soliciting and answering questions and addressing common concerns, our radiation oncologists help allay your fears and make you truly informed and empowered partners in your own care.

This same respect for your time and attention to ensuring that all of your concerns are addressed carries through the entire treatment process. We schedule appointments in a way that avoids or minimizes disruption to your work or other commitments, and have streamlined our administrative and clinical processes so that patients coming to our facilities for treatment sessions typically are back in your car 20 minutes after you walk through the front door.

An Office Staff That Goes Above and Beyond

The care patients receive at Sovereign Health Cancer Care begins the minute you walk through the door. Every member of our office staff shares the medical team’s commitment to compassionate, respectful care.

The friendliness and helpfulness of our office staff, as well as the soothing office environment we create, set a reassuring tone for patients and family members alike.

Our office staff also is highly skilled in helping patients deal with insurance issues and navigate authorization, documentation and other processes, reducing the “hassle factor” so that patients are able to focus on their well-being in a stress-free manner.
